Meanwhile in Sunnydale, Spike is sleeping in his lair when he realizes he is not alone. He smells the scent of perfume. Spike(without opening his eyes): Well I see you finally came to your senses. I hope this means you are ready for the real thing love. Dru: Only if you are. Spike sits up quickly. Spike: Druscilla? Dru: Yes my dear William. I am here. Spike: What do you want? Dru: I want my boy back. I know the slayer has moved back to Daddy and I came to get my dear boy. Daddy is lost to her and grandmum is gone. We are all that is left. Spike: Darla is gone? Dru: Does my dear boy want to make them pay? Kill them, kill them, kill them all. Spike: Who my love? Dru: All of them. Daddy first. Spike: Angel? You want me to kill Angel? Dru: And her and their brat. Spike: Dru, you wanna kill the slayer? Good luck with that. Dru: I want you to kill her and the baby. Spike: You know about the baby? Dru: Conner is what he called him. Spike: I can’t. Not any more. Dru: I see the pain, the searing pain, its still there. Daddy stole her from you. (Laughs) Took her right away. She has always loved him never you. Spike angrily moves into Dru’s face. Spike: What do bloody know? Dru: I know you crave more than her. Dru exposes her neck to him. Spike: You have just fed. I can feel and smell the blood. You are warm with it. Dru: Drink my boy. Drink it all. She forces his head down. He vamps and bites down, drinking the still warm blood. As he continues to draw, Dru suddenly pushes him across the room. Dru: Enough! Spike: Dru? Dru: Come with me dear boy. Get your stuff. Spike: To LA? Dru: To the city, to the city, to the city. My boy and me. Spike: What is in LA? Can’t we go somewhere else? Dru: Powerful people (she comes up and runs her hands over his head) to help my boy. Save my boy. They brought back grandmum, they can save my boy. Spike: The people that brought Darla back can get the chip out? Are you sure? Dru: Powerful, powerful. Destroy destroy. Spike: Can they help? Dru: Lets go. Spike: Fine, lets go to LA Spike quickly packs a bag and they head out of the lair.
In LA Buffy and Angel head out on their date. Leaving young Conner with his grandfather. Gunn insisted on staying to as security. Angel takes his lady dancing. They return home around 10:30 and pull up in front of the hotel. Angel: We still have a little time, wanna just sit with me? Buffy: Just sit? Angel: Better ideas? Buffy slides over to his side and the two begin kissing. They start necking like two teenagers. Angel holds her in his arms gently trying not to push to far. He eventually reaches down to touch her leg and feels the smoothness of the silk. He slowly starts to stroke her leg, testing if she will stop him. When she doesn’t he becomes bolder and runs his hand higher up her leg. She still does not resist. His hand slides still farther and she gasp but does not stop him. He discovers the lace garter and runs his fingers under it. She reacts by holding him tighter and again gasping. He hesitates to continue, though he wants to explore farther. He pulls back from the kiss. Angel: Buffy, do you want me to stop? Buffy: I don’t know. Angel: Do you want me to touch you? Buffy: Of course but I am scared, soo scared. Angel: Don’t be. He resumes kissing her and his fingers resume their upward exploration until they reach their goal. They gently stroke and explore. Between his mouth and hand she is completely under his spell. Soft moans rise from her throat. She holds him thighter as she rises and falls over the tidal waves of pleasure. Soon she pulls her mouth away to gasp for air as a final wave causes her whole body quiver. Angel looks into her face. Angel: Buffy? Buffy: That was wrong. Angel: No it wasn’t. It was nothing but right. I told you it would be okay. I love you. I would never do anything to hurt you. Buffy: (tears in her eyes) I hope you are right. I am weak. You touch me and my resolve crumbles. She gasp as she realizes he is still touching her. Buffy: Angel stop. Angel: Tell me it was not wrong. Buffy: Please stop Angel: It wasn’t wrong. Buffy: Fine it wasn’t wrong……..I hope, now lets get inside dad is waiting. Angel gets out and walks around and opens the car door. As he walks her to the door, another car pulls up across the street. The occupants watch as Angel stops Buffy just outside the door. Angel: Buffy, I love you. You know that don’t you.
Buffy: Of course I do. I am just scared we are taking all of this too far. I can’t go through all that again. Especially with Conner in the picture. Angel: I agree. I love you both too much. Can I have another kiss if I promise to behave. Buffy slides her hands into his hair and they kiss. His hands around her back. They turn to walk inside. Angel: By the way, I like that dress as much as the first. Buffy: Thought you might. They enter the lobby. Gunn is going over papers. Angel: Buffy why don’t you go upstairs to your dad and Conner. I want to talk to Gunn a second. Buffy leaves. Angel: Gunn, everything okay. Gunn: Sure. Angel: Well a car pulled up outside as we walked in, wanna help me check it out. Meanwhile in the car. Dru: My dear boy is jealous. Come I will make you forget Lets go. Spike: Not yet pet. If I am going to take them out I need to determine the their weaknesses. Dru: Later my boy, lets see about getting you fixed. Spike: Fine, show me where these powerful people are. They drive off. Gunn and Angel watch as the car leaves. Gunn: Vampires? Angel: With those dark windows I would think so. Something about that car felt familiar. Gunn: Like you have seen it before. Angel: No more like I have a connection with the occupants. Gunn: Huh. Angel: Vampires have a connection with those they sire, I think there was family in there. Gunn: Does that narrow the possibilities much Angel: A little. I have not turned another in over 100 years so whoever was in that car is not a youngun. Gunn: Oh goody. Angel: Come on. You need to get home. Oh and Gunn do not say anything to Buffy. Gunn: You sure? Angel: Yes. Angel heads upstairs and enters their room. Angel: Hi Hank everything go fine? Hank: Perfect. I had a ball. Loved it. Call me again, please. Buffy: Thanks again dad. Hank: Well I am heading home. Buffy: Will we see you again before I leave? Hank: Count on it Hank leaves. Buffy: Well did you find out who was in that car? Angel: Huh? You don’t miss much do you? Buffy: That’s my job. Now who was it? Angel: All I know was vampire…….my family. Buffy: A relation? Who? Angel: Don’t know, I just felt the connection. Buffy: Dru? Angel: Could be. The car took off before we could get close. Buffy: Well lets get to bed, morning comes awful early with an infant. They get ready and go to bed. Angel snuggles up to her. Angel: I love you. Buffy: I love you too. I just hope that is not the last time we say that. Angel: It won’t be. My soul is here to stay. Buffy: Not happy? Angel: Not truly, and getting less so with your constant recriminations. Buffy: Sorry, I am a worrier you know that. Angel: Stop worrying and go to sleep He kisses her cheek Buffy: I will try. The rest of their week goes without incident and on Saturday she heads back to Sunnydale and her life as the slayer. At Wolfram and Hart. Lila: She wants us to help him, and then she will help us. Linwood: I don’t think we can trust her or him. Lila: I agree and I am not sure I want to help him. Linwood: If we don’t, will they retaliate. Lila: Well she might but again he can’t. Linwood: Well not the humans at least. We are safe but some of our associates aren’t. Lila: True. But do we even have the ability to help. Gavin walks in. Gavin: I just got through talking with both the medical and technological experts and they had an idea we may want to explore. Linwood: What? Gavin: They think that instead of removing the chip we may be able to patch into it’s frequency and deactivate it. Lila: That will help him but we still can’t be sure we can trust them. Gavin: Oh but we will have the control to just activate the chip with the flip of a button. Linwood: Wonderful, he will be under our thumb. Love it. Love it. Are they sure they can do it? Gavin: Pretty much just need him in here for test. Linwood: Lila can you get them back in here. Lila: She said she would call in. I will have them meet with the experts.
