As Lorne and Tara and finish, Angel leans down and gently kisses her. She lifts her arms around his neck and the kiss becomes passionate. They appear unaware of their surroundings. Lorne: Man, if he kissed me like that, I would have his baby too. Angel tilts his head and looks at Lorne. Buffy buries her face in his chest Angel: You can forget it. Laughter fills the room. Angel and Buffy look at each other. Buffy: (m) I think the music stopped. Angel: (m) I know, but if I let you go you might run back to your boyfriend. Buffy: (m) What boyfriend? Pike? Angel: (m) Yes, Pike. Buffy: (mentally to Lorne) More music please (mentally to Angel) I am where I belong. Buffy snuggles closer. Lorne: Whoa, I think our couple could uh use a little more dance music and I have a perfect one. I expect they will remember this. As the song fills the room Buffy and Angel are joined by other couples. Pike watches in confusion. Gunn walks up. Gunn: Hey man, lets hit the food while the others are on the dance floor. Pike: Yeah sure, why not. Uh are they really married? Gunn: Sure are. Sorry dude. Cordy walks up. Cordy: What are you two up to? Gunn: Food. Cordy: I should have known. Romantic music and you head for the food. Gunn: Sounds like someone wants to dance. Cordy: Duh. Gunn: Can I eat first? Pike: Hey, you eat and I will take the pretty lady dancing. If she wants that is. Cordy: Fine by me. Bye Gunn. Gunn stares at them. Gunn: He still is the operator. Cordy and Pike join the others. They near Buffy and Angel. Buffy: Cordy, where’s Gunn? Cordy: Stuffing his face, where else. Angel: The boy needs to reset his priorities. Cordy: Please tell him that. Willow walks up with Conner. Willow: Sorry guys but this little one is ready for bed. Buffy and Angel stop dancing. Buffy reaches for Conner. Buffy: Come here my big guy. Want to dance? She takes off with Conner. Willow walks away. Cordy: I think you have been replaced. Angel: Fine by me. As long as he is the only other male she dances with. Pike and Cordy stop too. Pike: Uh how long you two been involved? Angel: Seems like forever. But I guess we first actually met five years ago, although I saw her for the first time, the day she was called. Pike: You saw her called? Angel: I was watching from across the street. She was so beautiful. It was love at first sight. Pike: That was when we were dating. Angel: Oh well, time moves on. Pike: So how long you been married? Angel: Five months. Pike: Oh so Conner came first. Angel: He was our little surprise. But never unwelcome. Pike: He is cute. Is he uh normal? Angel: Perfectly. Cordy: Pike, if we are not going to dance then I am leaving. Pike: Oh sorry. They dance off. Buffy comes up with Conner who has fallen asleep. Buffy: Nice chat with Pike? Angel: Nice enough. He still has a thing for you. Buffy: Oh well I don’t. I am a one woman man, well unless we count Conner here. Angel: Lets go put him to bed. They head to the stairs. Willow stops them. Willow: I will take him. If you two get up there, we will never see you again. Angel: Will, you are extremely smart, now move. Buffy: Don’t argue with him Will, he is jealous mode right now. Willow: Oh, but you will come back. Buffy: Yes, give us let say fifteen minutes. Angel: Make it thirty. They walk upstairs. They enter the room. Buffy lowers Conner into the crib and covers him. She turns around and Angel is laying across the bed waiting for her. Buffy: I think this is exactly where you were when Giles knocked. Angel: I know, now do you remember where you were? Buffy: I think I can. She lies down next to him and he pulls her into his arms. Their mouths connect and their hands gently caress. Buffy pulls back. Buffy: Anything you want, short of losing your soul. Angel: I know and I plan on enjoying myself. He recaptures her mouth. His tongue gently exploring the recesses of her mouth. She returns in kind. The fire of the moment warms them. Her hands slide under his shirt to gently stroke and warm the coolness of his back. His hands caress her shoulders and back. She entwines her legs with his. He pulls back. Angel: Buffy, is it okay? Buffy: You are the one to answer that. He smiles. Angel: Oh I won’t lose my soul. He reclaims her mouth. His lips now hot from hers. His hand warmed by their contact, slides downward between them and gently raises her skirt. She shifts her hip in anticipation. His fingers slowly explore. She moans as she feels their gentle invasion.
Downstairs. Willow: Hi Oz, are you having a good time? Oz: Actually I am. The green guy is actually quite good. Oh and Tara was amazing. Willow: I know. Why don’t you do something? Oz: No, I am more just a band member, not much on the solo scene. Willow: Oh, hey looks like we have someone else. Oz: Oh, I met him, he is lawyer I think. Lindsay starts singing a ballad. Willow: He is quite good, almost as good as Giles. Oz: Giles? Giles sings? I knew he had great taste in music, but Giles sing? Willow: Oh Giles is phenomenal. If he had not become a watcher, I know he could have had a career as a singer. I hope we can get him up there tonight. Oz: I would love to hear him. The front door opens. Willow: Oh my lord that is Graham. Wonder what he wants. Willow walks toward him. Willow: Graham, you are not welcome here. Graham: Sorry to interrupt the party but I am trying to find Riley. We haven’t heard from him since Thursday night. He is suppose to check in twice daily. Willow: Well he isn’t here. I saw him Friday afternoon in Sunnydale and basically told him to stay away from us. Graham: What time was that? Willow: About 3:30 I think. Graham: Is Buffy here? I would like to talk to her. Willow: She is upstairs with Angel, they will be back down later. Graham: Can you tell her I need to see her so I can leave? Willow: No, I can’t. Graham: Then I am not leaving. Willow: You can wait outside.
Outside Graham leaves and sits out on the bench. He gets on the cell and reports what he has learned. Graham: They said she upstairs with the vampire. I don’t know, I didn’t ask. If she don’t come down soon I will go back in and demand to see her. At least we know where he was on Friday afternoon. I will let you know if I learn anything else.
Inside. Oz: Who was that? Willow: A friend of Riley’s. Seems he is missing. Oz: Buffy is with Angel, why would he look for him here. Willow: Because Riley is obsessed with Buffy and because the initiatives are interested in the vampire baby. Just hope they don’t get any ideas about Caitlin. Oz: Caitlin? Willow: The new baby. Oz: Oh, nice name. Willow: Yeah it is. Oh here comes Tara. Oz: Willow, it is okay, we talked earlier. She is a nice girl. Willow: I think so. But I am glad you can agree. Oz: She has to be pretty special to be with you. Willow: I told you we are not together any more. Oz: Not because you don’t want to be. Willow: There is just a lot to work through. Oz; I understand. But Willow, you are worth the work. I know. Willow: Thanks. Tara: Hello. Did you two hear that guy, he is good. Willow: I know. We need to get Giles up there. Tara: I got an idea, let me talk to him. She heads off to Giles. Willow: I have a feeling you will get to hear Giles. He has a weakness for anything Tara wants. Oz: Oh. Pike walks up. Pike: Hi, you are a friend of Angel’s right? Willow: I guess, but I am more friend’s with Buffy. Why? Pike: Well, I saw you this morning and I thought you worked here. Willow: No, I actually live with Buffy and Dawn in Sunnydale. Pike: Her little sister Dawn, what is she about 13 now? Willow: Oh don’t let her hear that, she is almost 16. How do you know Buffy? Pike: Oh we dated when she was going to Hemry here in LA. Willow: Oh, let see. Tall, sort of James Dean like…..I will say Pike. Pike: Oh she told you about me. Willow: She kinda told me about all of the guys from her Hemry days. Ford, Tyler, you and a couple of others. Girls talk, what can I say. Pike: Oh. So you two went to school together? Willow: Yes, Sunnydale High School. Pike: Sunnydale? Didn’t it get blown up a few years ago. It was on the news. Oh let me guess, Buffy. Must have been full of vampires, right. Willow: No, not vampires, just a really, really big snake demon. Oz: The memories. Pike: You were there too. Willow: A lot of the people here were there. Buffy and Angel of course. Oz here and I. I believe you met Cordy and Wesley this morning, they were there. You also met Giles, he was definitely there. He actually activated the bomb. Oh and the brown haired guy dancing with the blonde, that is Xander, he was there. Oz, do you see any more Scoobies? Pike: Scoobies, you used that term this morning. Willow: Oh well it started out as the slayerettes but the guys didn’t like that too well. Pike: So what about the other girl this morning? Tara? Willow: Oh she became a Scooby after we got to college. As did a few others, like Buffy’s ex-boyfriend Riley. Pike: Riley? I thought she was with Angel. Willow: No, Angel left her because well he thought she would be better off without him. So she could well have a normal life. So she ended up with Riley for about a year, until he left town too. That reminds me Graham is still outside. Pike: Graham? Willow: A friend of Riley’s. Seems he is missing. And since he has been stalking Buffy lately, he thinks she may have seen him. Pike: And where is Buffy? Willow: Three guesses. Pike: Huh? Oz: More than likely she is somewhere with Angel. Pike: Doing what? Willow and Oz just look at him. Pike: Forget I asked that. Willow: Forgotten. Tara walks up with Dawn. Tara: He agreed but I have to join him. Willow: Great, but you are going to wait for Buffy and Angel, right? Tara: Of course. Dawn: This is so cool. Where are the guest of honors? Willow: Upstairs. Dawn: Ewwww. Can’t they behave for one night? Tara: Now Dawn, you won’t say that one day when you find that special someone. Dawn: I know. I hope I find him soon. Pike: Excuse me but you can’t be Dawn Summers. Little Dawn Summers. Dawn: Do I know you? Pike: I dated Buffy when she was at Hemry. Dawn: Don’t remember you. Sorry. Pike: No problem. Graham walks back in and over to Willow. Graham: I really can’t wait any longer. Willow: Well sorry, but you will have to if you want to talk to her. Graham: No, I am going up there and find her myself. Willow, Oz, Dawn, and Tara quickly block the bottom of the stairs. Willow: Not going to happen. Gunn walks up having seen the commotion. Gunn: What is the problem here? Pike: This man is trying to barge upstairs where he is not wanted. Gunn: Why is that? Graham: I just need to talk to Buffy and I can go. Gunn: Where is Buffy? Dawn: Upstairs with her husband and child. Gunn: Well man I think you need to leave and come back later. Graham: I did that already. Won’t any one just tell her I need to talk to her. Lorne walks up. Graham: Uh, what are you? Lorne: Calm down boy. I just wanted to get Tara, seems our man Giles wants her. Tara: Sure. They walk of. Graham: I can’t believe you guys and all the demons. This is unnatural. First it was werewolves, then vampires, not what, green guys with horns. Willow: Actually the vampire was first. Buffy dated Angel, way before Oz became a werewolf. Pike: Hold, on Oz is a werewolf? Oz: Technically. But I have had it under control for almost two years now. Pike: Okay. Buffy and Angel come down. Buffy: Graham, what do you want? Angel: I thought I told you to stay away from here. Graham: I am looking for Riley. Have you seen him recently? Buffy: Not in weeks. Sorry. Graham: And you? Buffy: His name is Angel. Graham: Angel, have you seen Riley? Angel: Thankfully no. Buffy want to dance? Buffy: Sure They walks off. Gunn: You can leave now. Graham: If you hear from him we need to know. Willow: Bye Graham. Graham leaves.
