Willow: Finally. Oz: That brings back bad memories. Willow: Oh, big glass cages? Oz: Something like that. Willow, Tara is busy with Giles, do you wanna dance? Willow: Yes, love to. They join the others. Pike looks down at Dawn’s foot. Pike: Based on the taping of your foot, I think you would love to get out there too. Dawn: Sure, but like anyone is going to ask me? Pike: I am asking. Dawn do you want to dance? Dawn: Sure. Pike leads her to the floor. Angel: Buffy, I think Pike has moved on to the available Summer girl. Buffy: Please he is too old for her. Angel: Oh, so what am I? Buffy: But that’s different? Angel: How? Buffy: Because she is just a kid? Angel: How old were you when you fell in love with me? Buffy: Sixteen, but she is only fifteen. Angel: Well until next month. Buffy: Please like she is going to find her own 240 year old to spin her head. Angel: No, but she still might find someone older. She has had to grow up awful fast being your sister. Buffy: I know. I did too, and I just wish it was different for her. Angel: I just got a memory of your mom’s face when she learned you were not longer virgin. Buffy punches him in the arm. Angel: Ow. Buffy: And how did she learn that little fact. Oh yeah, the older man who seduced her innocent daughter blurted it out. Angel: Hey, I wasn’t myself that day. Beside, I am not sure who the seducer was. Buffy: Lets see inexperienced sixteen year old seduces 240 plus vampire. Great plot. For a work of fiction. Angel: Alright, I give. Now since I have been declared this great seducer, can I can seduce you into a kiss or two. Buffy: If you remember we are in public. Angel: Hard but I’ll try. Their lips connect. The song ends and Giles takes the mike. Giles: I have been told that if I don’t sing tonight, that very bad things are going to happen. And since I know they can, I will not take ay chances. But I refuse to do this alone so I have convinced Tara to join me. Problem is picking a song that we can agree on. So even though this is not my idea of really good music, I have been convinced that it is befitting our couple. Now lets hope I can pull this off without sounding foolish. Angel: Giles is singing? Buffy: Giles is an amazing singer. But I am scared about the song, if he had that much to say. Angel: Me too.

The night winds down and the guest head out. The only ones left are the AI crew and the Scoobies. Angel: Nice night. But I am thinking you need to get to bed. Buffy: I will soon, but I am going to talk to Oz first. You go on up I will be there real soon. Angel: Buffy. Buffy: Angel, please don’t argue. I slept in, I had a nap and I will be there as soon as I have had a chance to talk to Oz in private. Angel: You better hurry. Buffy walks over to Oz. Buffy: Can we go to you room and talk? Oz: Sure. They go upstairs. Tara: Is she going to tell him now? Willow: I guess so. Tara: If she tells him tonight are you going to talk to him in the morning? Willow: If he wants to. Tara: What are you going to do? Willow: Not sure. Tara: I am behind you whatever you decide. Willow: I know, and that makes it easier. Tara: I hope so. Up in Oz’s room. Buffy: Oz this is really complicated and extremely strange. Let me start by saying that I am not here telling you what to do or even making a suggestion. I am just telling you what has been prophesized and how it may never come to pass because of outside forces at work. Oz: Lost here. Buffy: There is an ancient scroll that Wesley has been translating the last year or two. It has various prophecies written over the ages. One prophecy deals with the vampire with a soul and his destiny. Oz: Angel? Buffy: We believe so. But the another prophecy deals with the birth of two children. The first is born of two warriors like Angel and myself. Oz: Conner? Buffy: No actually Caitlin. The reason we know she is a girl is because it has been foretold thru a seer that she is to be a slayer like me. Now the prophecy tells of the second child. Buffy tell Oz of the both the scroll and the dream. She eliminates the portion on Angel and his turning human. She finishes and looks at Oz. Oz: Willow knows all this? Buffy: I told her last night. But we have not discussed her feelings. That is between you and her. I just want you two to realize that a lot of powerful forces are doing whatever they can to stop this from happening. I believe that they were responsible for Veruca and maybe even for the temporary feelings Willow and Xander felt for one another. I don’t know. All I do know is that my relationship with Angel has been rocky at best and now as soon as we are back on course, I get pregnant with Caitlin. The powers were not taking any chances that we would screw things up again and they also were the ones who gave us the way to make love and Angel keep his soul. Oz: I was wondering about that. Buffy: They gave a talisman that along with a incantation can bind his soul for 24 hours at a time. But it can only be used after we have I guess you can say earned it by fighting the evil forces. We have had one 24 hours and you see where it got us. Oz: But you will have more times? Buffy: Yes eventually. They did give a 3 hour freebee last night. Oz: Okay, I don’t wan to know. Buffy: Sorry, but I just want you to understand that the powers are trying to help the prophecy to come to pass. Now before Angel comes looking for me I had better head to bed. Do you have any questions before I leave? Oz: No. Buffy: If you do just ask. Not sure if I will have all the answers but I will try. Oz: Okay. Buffy: Night. Oz: Night.
Buffy returns to her room and changes for bed and slips under the covers. Angel: You tell him. Buffy: Yes. Angel: And? Buffy: That is between them. Angel: True. Buffy slides up close. Angel: What do you want? Buffy: Snuggles, just want snuggles. I am tired. Angel: Me too. They drift off.
The next morning. Willow gently knocks on Oz’s door. He opens it. Oz: Hello. Willow: Hi, I think we should talk. Oz: I think we should too.
